Are you Leading or Co-Leading a Women's Small Group this fall?
If so, why not try some fun new ideas?
Here are 3 of our favorites:
1. BRING PINTEREST TO THE "PARTY" :)
Inviting Pinterest to the party is not only fun and delicious, it is a GREAT ice breaker. As members get to know one another and share information about themselves with the group they can also share memories of their best or worse Pinterest try- this will help keep the women at ease as they are making new friends :)
Women LOVE Pinterest! They love to try new things.
For your first group meeting, make one or two "Pinterest" dessert or finger food recipes to share. Have the recipe ingredients and directions printed out cute index cards for members to take home.
For the remaining meetings, ask for one or two volunteers to make and bring a new Pinterest recipe to share.
2. Bring out the GLITTER!
Women LOVE pretty things! Find ways to INCLUDE beauty in your study! Have fun colored pencils, highlighters, washi tape, and maybe some glitter crayons available for the women to use! Encourage them to underline, make connections, doodle pictures, and TAKE NOTES in their workbooks. The more they interact with the text the MORE they will understand and enjoy the lesson.
****Bible Stories from the Heart workbooks are PERFECT for this!
Bible Stories from the Heart workbooks are also available on Amazon
3. Allow "their dog" to Chew up Their Homework!
We all know that women's schedules are CRAZY BUSY during the week. If you choose to do a study with alot of reading in between meetings (which we do NOT recommend) - PLEASE remind members to STILL COME even if they are unable to finish the "homework"
In our opinion, the best studies for busy moms/women have little or no "NEW" required reading throughout the week. In our opinion, the best studies simply give 5-10 minute review/meditation exercises each day throughout the week to help members go deeper into the lesson.
***Bible Stories from the Heart Studies are PERFECT for this!!
We hope you enjoyed these "tips"
